Bambogenesis

Bombogenesis

  (a poem by Donna Paulson)

You are beauty

In sparkling light,

You cover my world

In crystal white

of a snowy day.

You are a threat

to power lines

needed for homes

to heat just fine,

  and be O.K.

You are wild winds

That shake the trees,

You stir my heart

To drop to my knees.

  It’s then I pray.

“Please go away!”

You are Winter, t

he storm, I fear.

You cover the roads.

I do not dare

 to drive away.

The blizzard ends,

the sun shines bright,

this wonderland

of ice delights

 like diamonds spray.

Beauty always finds a way.
